(Over)Thinking Mom provides unique advertising opportunities for small businesses and blogs. All advertising is limited, which means no more than two ads will run at a time in the sidebar and each podcast episode will only accept one sponsorship spot. This ensures that advertisers receive the undivided attention of readers and listeners.

Listeners of the podcast and readers of the blog are well-educated and mostly mothers. Although listenership and readership do overlap, I consider them separate categories because many people who choose to subscribe to a podcast are not always the same people visiting a physical blog, and vice versa. This allows advertisers a cross-marketing opportunity.

The following advertising opportunities are available.

Website Ad:

  • 200 x 200 ad above the fold (directly beneath subscribe and socialize buttons)
  • 200 x 200 ad below the fold (directly beneath survive colic image)

Podcast Sponsorship:

  • Advertising copy read in the podcast intro or at the closing
  • 60 second or less commercial produced by the advertiser played after the podcast intro or at the closing
  • Advertising copy/commercial in combination with text and link in the podcast blog post

Cross-Marketing:

  • 10% off final price if a combination of website ads and podcast sponsorship are purchased.
